We made this stop to clear Burlington of the caches on our way back from Mingo. While in Goodland Kansas we met another cacher who said would be nice to get some new hides close by. So before we took a ride on the Carousel we placed a very small hide in true The5millers fashion.

Enjoy the Hunt and Happy Caching!!!

Fun last day in Kansas. We (@WindAtMyBack and @intrepiidexplorer ) came out to Hays to grab the amazing gadget caches and others before fulfilling my promise to show up for Benj59's CITO event at Sunflower Mountain. We fueled up with Starbucks and headed out. During our journey west we stopped at several rest stops and grabbed targeted caches. We were lucky enough to meet one of the CO's at her cache and then see her again at the CITO. Great to make new friends. Our journey was more of a loop, as we doubled back to Goodland to finish our work there. Scraped my head pretty good on something near a cache. Thanks to all for the great time. Only 2 DNFs, which were obviously missing, so we replaced them.
I didn't even realize this was your cache until logging it. Or I would have said it was missing. Well placed. Took a little bit for my dim bulb to catch onto where this little guy was hiding.
Tftc!

What a day! 27 caches covering the following types - Traditional, Multi, Mystery, Earth, Virtual, Lab, Event, CITO, Wherigo, and Letterbox. New record for me. It was a very full day and it was a lot of fun but I'm relieved it's done too!

This was absolutely one of my target caches. One of my goals is to find all of the caches from the5millers. In Colorado that is. :) Maybe someday I'll get his hides in Ohio but that's a lofty goal! I have been watching this cache since it published and have seen the DNFs but also seen the subtle hints dropped in logs. I was able to find it without too much trouble, but you do have to be brave for a second.

This place looks really cool and I wish we had time to stay and check it out. But unfortunately there was a lot to do and not much time to do it in! Hopefully in the future I'll be able to get back to this place and explore more.

Thanks for the hide the5millers

Hello from the west coast! Jimlips and I are visiting from northern California. Our goals are to get both Tarryall, and Mingo, among other fine caches. My muggle brother joined us today, and he made most of the finds...without a GPSr! Wow, we almost DNFd this one, but jimlips found it. TNLNSL ~ Thanks Approve

Headed to Mingo today from CO Springs with NightKnight. This was the whole goal of our trip from the Sacramento area. Grabbed this one while in the area, too. Lucked out and put my hand where I would not normally put it, and made the find. Good think the rock is there for a little elevation boost.

It took us a few minutes of back-and-forth but finally I had a hand on it. Thanks for the fun. Nicely done. The co may want to take a look at the container as it seems to be coming apart

Across the street at the Barbed Wire Show and couldn’t pass up such a close by cache. We did make this much harder than it should have been. Thanks for the search.

In town for a land owner meeting and got up early to find some caches. Took a bit of searching before I felt the cache and scored the find. Thanks!

[FTF] First to Find with PayMeCache @ 3:40 PM.

When my day started today I really didn’t think it was going to include a “quick jaunt” to Kansas to grab an FTF with PayMeCache!! We were on the phone and he was rambling about some retail issue he was having in Home Depot. Somehow that turned into him saying he wanted to find some FTF by the5millers.

Since I hadn’t found one for August yet, I started to invite myself on the adventure when it was disclosed to me that said cache was about 150 miles away. Oh…..hmmmm… well, I hadn’t had the new geo-coupe out for a good drive yet so I said “let’s do it”. I don’t think PMC was expecting that response because after thinking about it a bit he leaned towards some local caches he wanted to find. That was cool too. As we were talking game plan, he flips the switch again and says “F(*& it, let’s make the drive and go for the FTF.”

So slower than a heard of turtles we finally got started on our mini road trip. It was a great day for the never ending flat drive to the eastern edge of Colorado. And since PMC brought along his radar detector we opened up the benz to see what it would do. Once we were finally at GZ we both thought like the5millers and had the container in hand in no time. And to anyone actually taking the time to read all of this I offer a hint: I exist at a lower altitude than PayMeCache and I would not have been able to sign the log without him.

Since we had another 2 ½ hour drive back home and had spent a whopping 4 minutes finding this container, we decided to find the other 4 local caches before making the journey back home. TFTC

P.S. The favorite point is for the culmination of finding this container after getting to spend LOTS of time getting to it with an amazing geo-friend.

[FTF] First to Find with heh324 @ 3:40 PM.

Today is Sunday. Some people decide to spend their time worshipping the made up supernatural, inside a building, giving their tithings and being indoctrinated.

I, on the other hand, was putzing around Home Depot looking for some garage organization items and called my good buddy heh324 to see what she was up to on this fine Sunday. As neither of us warship a supernatural being we had some spare time in our hands to go play. I pulled up The5millers’ hides and saw this ridiculous cache in BFE. heh324 tried to convince me to go for it. I agreed stupidly at first. After 30 minutes of back and forth bantering on the phone we pulled the trigger.

I have driven 1.5 hours out of my way for an FTF but never 2.5 hours, ONE WAY; but had the pleasure of riding shotgun in a posh geomobile. For 2.5 hours we were on the edge of our seats wondering if someone had already found it and hadn’t gotten a chance to log it from a computer (apparently there are still people who do such things when you can log it from a mobile device?)

All this being said, we found the cache quickly. I think my potty break, at a nearby tree, took longer than locating the Geocache you hid for us. The joy of signing our glorious John Hancock’s on a blank log, in a new county is rewarding. Our words of gratitude are the bragging rights. Thanks for a fun and insane journey.

Some may call me seriously mentally ill. Some may state that I am in a state of mind that prevents social interaction. Some may say I am in a state of mind that prevents normal perception and or behavior. I prefer to say that I tend to do the same thing over and over again, but I expect different results. That being said, I believe we only live one life and I am trying to make the best of it. I thank you, the5millers for placing a fun geocache to fuel my "insanity" or addiction as I call it. I appreciate you bringing me here so that I can try and sign my alias on a piece of paper that you have hidden.

I look forward to finding more of your geocaches. I also look forward to potentially finding geocaches with you one day and sharing stories of our insanity... I mean hobby or addiction? Cheers!
