The Original Eamos the Alien TB TBJ2P9

On a ski area above 10,000 feet.
NOTICE--NOTICE:

READ ENTIRE NARRATIVE TO FIND THE CACHE COORDINATES!!!

THE HEADING COORDINATES ARE AN INTERMEDIATE WAYPOINT!!!

Eamos the Alien

Eamos the Alien escaped from the Roswell incident and has been searching ever since for a way to get back to his home planet.

While he is on earth, please help him move around. Having hitched a ride through Albuquerque, he is now stuck on the upper reaches of the Purgatory ski area (Durango Mtn. Resort) 19 miles north of Durango, Colorado. He especially would like to visit UFO sites to try to find other aliens.

To help Eamos (Travel Bug #510955) keep moving, take the #4 chairlift to the top (N37° 37.750’, W107° 49.910’ in front of the ski area map). Then hike 0.28 miles south up the gravel road. (Of course, this cache is more assessable before the snow flies.) Look for a large rotted stump, and find Eamos in a tupperware container under the stump (N37° 37.510’, W107° 49.867’).

Other items in this initial cache are: Folder (Hiking Trails Near Purgatory); Key Ring "Real Men Don't Ask Directions"; Blue Golf Ball; Log Book, pen, pencils. If you help Eamos move on, leave a note and log his next location on this web site.

Eamos thanks you.

Loved taking the road to find this cache! What awesome views. Thanks for leading us here. My friends have skied here many times but this was my first visit to this resort. I'm visiting them from Auburn, California. Peace.

Owner checked cache. Okay. Good swag in it.
Dropped Eamos the Alien's long lost cousin Helium the Alien TBBYN7FG in hopes they will be able to be reunited. Don't know if Helium came through Roswell like Eamos did. Find out more about Helium the Alien (a CacheBuddy) at TB62PG3.

Nice spot for a cache. Been by here hundreds of times on skis but rarely have stopped here. Thanks for the cache, excellent excuse to get outside and cruise in the hills. No Travel Bug found in this cache. Hopefully it will be logged in soon. TNLN SL

Was able to drive right to it, since there was a definite lack of snow out there today. Lots of bicyclists, ATVs, and dirt bikes though. TFTC
