Another in a series of my neighborhood. Grew up in the 50's- 60's just north of here near a few other of my caches. Back then US285 wasn't much of a highway and this was a wild field and left over from the old Fort Logan army post. Bear Valley shopping center was a long line of stores and the was a field till they built the Bear Valley Mall which died in the 70'-80's. Then razed and Home Improvements and Royal grocery store were built.
Us stupid young kids would play in the fields that are now a Denver Park playing in the field hunting small critters and real stupidly crawl up the large sewer pipes along the Bear Creek. Great memories, growing up in the area now surrounded by my personal caches.
Hope this one takes just a moment or two to discover, coordinates are from my phone.
Good hunting, parking is nearby east in the park, or north in the shopping center. Muggles abound depending on the day and time.
