This cache is hidden at the top of a hill near where the Morrison Creek Trail splits from the Shinglemill Trail. You will spend most of your time hiking the Shinglemill Trail. This is another in a series of caches that are all along trails in open space areas west and southwest of Denver.
Near the reference waypoint there is a fork in the trail. Pick a spot near here and head up the hill for the cache where you will find a lot of rock outcroppings. You will have hiked through a lot of trees to get here but the area by the cache does not have many trees.
The hike is about a mile and a half one way. It's a fairly easy rolling hike to the waypoint. Then you need to head to the top of that hill you have probably noticed on the way. It's really not that hard to get to the top of it if you get to the waypoint first. This is a very popular area for mountain biking so be alert for them.
Great view from the cache.
