A few miles out of Crawford CO on E50 road. Dirt road but well maintained
The cache is off the main trail a short distance. It is in a 30mm ammo can buried under some rocks and tree limbs

It contains a "deck of cards" "Blue bead necklace" "Pocket keychain fan" (everybody needs one of these) "Russell Stover Hat" "Snoopy key chain" "Texas postcard and magnet" and of course the pen and pencil to write your comments in the notepad

Started doing a construction project in Delta area in spring of '14, ended up moving here and had this area on our bucket list since the beginning. Started by clearing ALL of Grand Mesa that first year and just now getting out this side of the Gunnison to beginning clearing it, getting some of Crawford Collins newer caches at same time. Will have to come back to this location and explore the Needle some more! GREAT VIEW of a GREAT NEEDLE. nicely placed and maintained cache. Gets a FAV for that as well as the nice drive, hike, and overall views. TFTC Team kekj

Started the morning at this spot and what a plug. This area to below Lake City must have been a hot mess 30 mya. Container fine and hidden well. Glad to get up here and finally see this geologic feature, thanks.
