Came up to FairPlay early for the BBQ event planning to make this hike for these caches. I don't have a vehicle that can cross that creek so I donned hiking sandals & carried my hiking boots & socks. As I was changing my shoes two full size pickups came past & crossed the creek. Less than 5 minutes later as I was looking for the best place to cross (I found a board across the main part of the creek, but it was small and the water was flowing over it anyway) they came back across & left. I made it across on the board but it dipped into the water even further. I used my hiking pole to stay on the board as it was slick, but my dog slipped off just before he reached the end. Cache was in fine shape but certainly not in a snow friendly location so I hid it a little higher, but don't know if it will stay.
