Part of a series that I am placing at different towns and cities that I come across on my travels. I have always been interested in seeing the parts of roadside civilizations that you can't always see/notice from the beaten path. This series will give you the opportunity to explore some new places.

You can learn more about Vona, CO at http://www.ghosttowns.com/states/co/vona.html.

Please replace the container back as you found it. Good luck!

Hello from the west coast! Jimlips and I are visiting from northern California. Our goals are to get both Tarryall, and Mingo, among other fine caches. My muggle brother joined us today, and he made most of the finds...without a GPSr! Found it after a bit of searching. TNLNSL ~ Thanks Approve

Headed to Mingo today from CO Springs with NightKnight. This was the whole goal of our trip from the Sacramento area. Grabbed this one while in the area, too. Thanks for the hide!

T F T C - - - - I’m having a great time in Colorado Geocaching and sight seeing. Staying with a good friend in Centennial. I decide to hit the flat lands for my July 4th adventure. I got a early start to avoid some of the heat.

I appreciate your efforts in placing this cache for our geocaching enjoyment. It is always a great day to be out and about geocaching. Good job! I had a fun time finding it. Once again, TFT$ LTFAHG-Like to Find and Hide Geocaches.

We were able to find this cache fairly quickly. The log had been wet, but was dry when we arrived. It was a bit difficult to unfold the paper because the wet/dry periods fused the paper together. We were able to get it apart and sign it, however. TFTC SL, Aiken, SC (3681)

Copy/Paste Alert
We were traveling back to Aiken, South Carolina after visiting our daughter in Fraser, Colorado. We had a few geocaching goals for our trip. One was to find the oldest geocache in existence, “Mingo,” in Kansas. Another was to find the oldest geocache in Missouri, “Missouri’s First – Watts Mill.” We also wanted to add counties to our found counties list. I spent a couple of weeks before our trip to identify caches along our route that would enable us to fulfill this goal. We also found a few out-of-the-way places to go, and had a great time caching along the way.

Log was wet and I was unable to sign the log. I am out from Aurora, CO. I am on my back to Colorado after visiting Mingo which is the oldest geocache in the United States. What a perfect day in CO to be geocaching. Thank you for the fun geocache. TNLN.
