The Corinthian Hills Subdivision is all private property. An alternative parking would be The Dillon Water Tanks and approach along the Oro Grande Trail. You can also park across the road from the Dillon Cemetery and approach along the Oro Grande Trail from the opposite direction. It is an ATV, biking, and hiking trail.Cache is in a waterproof, black box. Contents include little knick-knacks that most children would approve of. There is a pencil sharpener (non-removable), pencil, welcome note, and a logbook. Please log your visit on the book and the web. For safety from bugs, wear covered up clothing and bug spray. Since there's mild bush-wacking required, hiking boots or tennis shoes are a good idea. May be unavailable to people during the winter, due to the high snow fall and difficulty of terrain. Just a few of the original tradeable items in the cache were:
Coupons for Chipotle, Applebees, and the Wildlife Experience (if taking the Wildlife experience coupons, you may take both for two free admissions.)
Plastic bugs, spinner, necklace, cake decoration, and other toys.
Imagine miners in the 1800s digging for Gold and Silver. The log flume was full of water years ago and used to float logs down to the sawmill. Enjoy the spectacular views of Peaks 1-10, Buffalo Mountain, Red Mountain and all of Lake Dillon.
06/12/2019 By Hikermama3 Found it, tftc, I didn’t know about the trails over in this area so I went and did tenderfoot mountain first which had awesome views and then came along down this way. I added a new piece of log paper since the other ones were full and I took the path tag because it had my name on it
