Roosevelt National forest beauty and a strenuous hike.
This is a cache given to me by my good friend JJ for my 50th birthday.  It is an ammo box filled with lots of goodies located just off the Ginny Trail in the Roosevelt National Forest.  The easiest way to get to it is to park in Bobcat Ridge Natural Area (free parking).   Note: the cache is NOT in Bobcat Ridge proper.  The hike to the cache is long (4 to 5 miles one way) with no shade so take lots of water and sunscreen.    I think you will find this to be a beautiful spot and hike.  Thanks again JJ! Nice spot. I wanted to hang out longer, but it was sooo windy! Lots of stuff in the cache. In good shape & dry.

Today: Sunny and about 70 degrees. Two days from now: Winter storm watch and 4 to 6 inches of snow expected. Needless to say, a great day for a hike at Bobcat Ridge and a couple of caches. TFTC!

One of four caches I nabbed today during a 10.5 mi hike. By the time I got to this one, I was very happy it was reasonably close to the trail. TNLNSL, thanks for the nice views from the cache site!
