Peter was out hiking with son Doug and daughter in law Heidi. Our objective was Thayer Peak at 13,852'. Quite a hike. Eleven plus miles and 3100' of elevation gain. Not much time for caching so we found this one and another nearby. Roadway was very wet and covered with snow and ice two feet thick. It was a hike that required snowshoes to keep us from postholing. Drifts along the way, I'm guessing were typically 4' to 8' deep.

Cache was high and dry. Good placement for post winter weather.

Too much snow to look for the cache.

John found this one. We only DNF'ed one on this trail and there were a couple we didn't attempt because of snow.

Loved the trail!

Found a few of yours on our hike to the lake. The brush around this one is pretty thick so took a few minutes to locate. TNLN/TFTC
