This is a three-part cache at the base of Purgatory Ski Area. It involves uphill walking (no rock scrambling) so make sure you are physically fit.

Some parts of this cache are in heavy forest and tall trees. Precise coordinates will be tricky to obtain. The best plan is to get near but stay in the clear and let the GPS settle for awhile, then approach by direction and distance.

Part 1 is a camo 35mm film can – unscrew the can to see the coordinates for the next part. Part 2 has the coordinates for the cache.

The cache is a camo rubbermaid container with room for TBs.

Original contents: Geocaching Info Card, log book with pen and pencil, rubber dinosaur, Unite for Diabetes special TB UNFVZ4, and for FTF a handheld Sudoku game.

Be aware this cache is over 9100 feet (2774 meters) altitude. It will be unavailable in winter due to snow.

Owner checked on cache. OK. Found Pure Mystery Micro Geocoin MCDQ6H that evidently had be taken from Purgatory Waterfall. Will move it on to another cache.

Found the first two clues but couldn't get to where our GPS was indicating that the final cache is. Too steep & slippery.

Checked on cache again. Considerable cutting of aspens in the immediate area but cache is okay.
Grabbed Mickey's Got the Blues, headed for NM.
