07/30/2014 By THeSKuLL I was on a fun road trip to Silverton with two of my boys. It was a quick one-night visit. We were specifically after an FTF and to find the puzzle cache in Colorado that has gone the longest without being solved/found and to be STF on anther puzzle that was recently published. If the boys weren't with me, I probably would have called this a $300 failed attempt. Sadly we only found 1 of the 3. At least we had a great high-altitude adventure. I definitely recommend Mattie and Maud's cafe for breakfast!
We did grab a few scattered about town and toward the campground where we stayed.
This was another one of the 'jake92' caches that we did find. I was about to give up on this one, too. But, Baboon44 caught sight of it. Maybe this on was due to heritage... I'm 1/8th ???. TFTC!
09/30/2013 By awanderer Very Nice Hide! – Resolving the basics of the puzzle was completed rather quickly but for me it took considerable effort to solve the computer usage part. When I got to GZ I had to search for a while to come up with the container. The GPS was all over the place. But that’s what makes geocaching so much fun! – SL - Thanks Jake92 For Placing This Cache – It Is Appreciated!
09/09/2013 By TwoElkers Yippeee!! FTF!! Found this morning on our "jake puzzle day" up in Silverton with Travelinduo. Fun puzzle & hide. When we started solving the puzzle, we quickly identified where to start .. then spent quite a while trying to translate. With a slight 'nudge' from the CO, came up with what was needed to continue to the answer to our dilemma and got good coords.
Found the cache in good condition after a short search. XNSL Thanks for the fun today as we tried to get a few of "jake's puzzles".
We don't just 'give-out-favorites'. Something about the cache must make an impression on us and this one did. The puzzle and the hide both were a lot of fun! Gets our favorite. Thanks jake92!
09/09/2013 By travelinduo FTF with TwoElkers! We enjoyed figuring this puzzle! One nailed the language and one found the right translator. We love the educational and historical caches! Their suffering breaks our hearts! Thanks for this cache!!
