A short drive southwest of Gunnison. A little known historical site, easy drive, except for the last 1/2 mile.
A high clearance vehicle is necessary from here.
The lava stone from this site was used in early construction in the Gunnison area. If you are a rock hound, you can spot some of it around town and in the Gunnison cemetery.

Some of the items include toy truck, top, tiger eye necklace, toy calculator, frisby, key chain, baseball game and baseball player and log book.

Take Hwy 50 west out of Gunnison approximately 4.3 miles. Turn left on County Road 32. Drive approximately 4.6 miles and take the road leading off to the right. You will need a high clearance vehicle from here.

Found the location, but hunted and hunted for the cache and finally gave up. We did find a good guitar and case laying on the ground nearby. Turned it in to the sheriff's office. The last part of the road is rough. We put our truck in four wheel drive. You could probably walk the last part of the route.

Checked our cache a couple weeks ago. Still in same location, but someone muggled our ammo can and replaced it with a plastic margarine container, which will not hold up in this country. Thanks a lot whoever you are. You are welcome to come back and bring our ammo can. They are expensive. Buy your own.

This was a fun cache to find. It was nice to see a little piece of history of Gunnison that would have gone unnoticed without stopping for the cache. TFTC. TNLNSL.

Awesome quarry and amazing view! Great hike (since roads are closed to vehicles) on a beautiful spring day. Shorts and T-Shirt weather!

We (Dizzy 4x4 and PATS4X4) are trying to combine our finds and change our name to AZ4X4s since we are now retired and caching together. If you wonder why you are getting this notice of a find from several years ago, that's the reason. Thanks to all the CO's for the great hides we have found over the years

Got this one and was able to drive right to the area. Walked right to the cache. Coordinates were right on. Thanks for placing the cache. TNLN
