This is part of the old railroad between the Alpine Tunnel and Pitkin, CO.
This is a very scenic trail out of the Alpine Tunnel into the town of Pitkin. Thought it would be a fun drive for ATVs or Jeeps. Original container is a 5 gallon white bucket with a screw on lid. Original contents include a First Aid kit, Stickers and Postcards, Poncho, Water Bottle, Matches, Trash sacks, Glow sticks, Candle and Brandy & Tuckers X-Orient Express Travel Bug!! It is a Great Historic Area and a fun ride. Good Luck TB!!!

Out with friends making a loop from Buena Vista, over Monarch Pass then Pitkin and back to BV via Hancock Pass a total of 145 miles. Biggest container of the day, hell for that matter biggest one of the year. TFTF

We were in the Jeep for the trip over Hancock Pass and back over Tincup Pass. It was a cool day, with a bit of drizzle, but we had a great time. I haven't been on these trails for nearly 30 years. I was happy that there were a number of caches on the route. It is always good to find an old cache! Thanks for the Cache!

Out for a day of caching with Z_Malloc while vacationing nearby. We found this one while on the way to the Alpine Tunnel; it WAS a nice, big one. All was in excellent shape; coordinates were spot on. This was find #9 for the day. SL - TFTC, PAMRON, and for our geofun. Smile
