Dragon Fly

1000ft. above Lone Pine per my gps'er. Stay on the trail and then go *************.
This little stroll will take you about 1.5 to 2.0 miles from the parking lot up the mountainside to some very, very beautiful untouched area(s), so please lets all respect it highly and enjoy it. We might as well enjoy it, because it sure appears that the local neighborhood Bears have been enjoying the view lately.

A simple road that ventures into a small trail opening to a dandelion filled meadow, encircled by Aspen trees, but allowing an open air view to the mountain range of the immediate area. Bumblebees the size of fifty cent pieces fly swiftly, eagerly, and joyfully, from dandelion to dandelion. Until they see you watching them, and then they fly away fast and scared. Sit back and relax, while you enjoy the view of a great place left untouched for your and our enjoyment, hopefully for years to come. A great place for a picnic lunch and plenty of long lasting photographs.

When the last cache was a left turn at the BIG bear scat, I almost didn't come on up here. But any sensible bear is snoozing as the day warms up, right? So I plodded onward and upward, and was rewarded with this lovely meadow. Thanks for placing a lure up here.

Although not officially cache 18 of 31 days of caching I did this one on the same day. I went with my sister who isn't an official geocacher. She has done several caches with me on a few occasions. Nice morning for a hike. Thanks.
