This cache is in the Vallecito Reservoir Recreation Area. While there are options that don't involve a fee, in select places around the lake, you may need a $5 day parking pass from PRID (Pine River Irrigation District). Look for signs indicating fee areas. Also, if you plan to launch a boat, you must do so at the Vallecito Marina & Yacht Club boat ramp. Fees may apply at the boat ramp.

TFTC! So fun to row out to. Gave a 6 and 8 yr old something to work toward and leave the shoreline in their kayaks. Next person should bring dry paper ... cache log is pretty soaked.

As soon as we saw this new geocache we threw our kayaks in the back of the truck and headed for the lake. We had a friend with us who is new to geocaching and let her get the FTF. It was a perfect day to be on the lake! Thanks so much for hiding caches in our neck of the woods.
