It was interesting to read logs AFTER we got back from the cache and nice to know those who preceded us had the benefit of a road to approach the cache(?) We walked down from RRr, about 2000', following ridgelines to within 250'. We earned our "wings" the first 300' coming back toward our vehicle. Thoroughly enjoyable cache - thanks!

Enjoyed a short walk down to this cache. I love ammo cans in little hideaways like this. They may get a little lonely but you can almost always count on them still being tucked away. Cache is in great shape. Traded tbs. Thanks!

You can't get to this one by car anymore. The road is blocked off. The hike through the woods and then the meadow was very beautiful. It's hard to believe that this cache hasn't been visited for so long. We enjoyed the hiding spot and dropped off a nice TB to entice more cachers to check out this nice cache. Tftc.

Very much enjoyed the hike to your hideaway - would have stayed to watch TV in the meadow, but they had too many bullet holes in the screens... TFTC

Nice area for the kids and I to hike on today. We wound up having to walk right past three target shooters within 400 feet of GZ, and once they saw the kids, they were nice as could be. I told them we were hiking, and only going a few hundred more feet, and they waited for us to get to the cache, trade trackables, stamp the log and get past them on the way back out -- WAY past them on the way back out -- before they started blasting the targets. Thanks, guys !!! We retrieved the Jeep TB and dropped off an Oktoberfest Proxy coin, one of the three coins we bought at the Geocaching Headquarters (GCK25B). TFTC !

I parked out by the turn off and had a pleasant walk down to the cache. There is a branch lean-to at ground zero and a raised sleeping platform, but the cache is safe in its hiding spot.
Dropped a trackable.
My mishap for the day - the rear view mirror jiggled off while driving the washboards on RR Road and was hanging by wires. A passerby helped unhook the wires for me (I couldn't do the snap in part) and CarQuest in Woodland Park helped me get it back on. I had a Phillips for 2 of the screws but also needed a star-head which I did not have on me.

Out testing my new Jeep. Stopped near the cache for a picnic lunch. While trying to turn a round to head home I backed into a tree! Ouch

Thought it was gone at first, as a hunter made a camping shelter right near GZ, but we found it undisturbed. Nice one!
