Cache is off of a relatively flat trail. Getting to the cache can be a workout if parking near N 39 12.680 W 106-56.765 Better access can be had by parking near N 39-12.668 W 106-57.215

The Terrain and Difficulty ratings apply to the spring, summer, and fall only. If there is signifigent snowfall on the ground, the rating will be much higher. The more snow, the higher the rating... Especially if you choose to come from the first parking coodinates located below the cache.

This is now a second attempt at this cache as the first one has gone missing.

New container is a 4in diameter PVC pipe, about a foot long painted camo colors.

Out in the Aspen/Snowmass area enjoying a nice day and beautiful scenery, the only negative was the construction in Aspen backing up traffic for a couple of miles. We used the 2nd set of coordinates for parking and it turned out to be a nice short walk with very little elevation gain. Cache is in great condition. TFTF

A very easy one to spot owing to it’s large size. Great views of Snowmass Village and ski area.
Tried to get this one in the winter but the snow on the trail made it too hard.
Out here from Plymouth England visiting our son J Walker Jr who is working here for a year.

Letztes Jahr lag hier zuviel Schnee und ich kam nicht ran. Heute lag nur etwas Schnee, aber matschiger Untergrund. Da ich den Trail nicht kannte, bin ich den Berg nach Kompass hoch gegangen...
