Came up yesterday to check on the cache. Unfortunately, the area where the cache originally sat has shifted over what I presume to be the winter in San Juan County. I moved the cache no more than a 1/2 a foot forward and the coordinates are still accurate. Since the cache has lost some of its original cover, please make sure that you put a lot of camouflage over the top of it to ensure that the cache doesn't shift any further. Other than the cache shifting, the container and area are doing great; everything has been staying dry despite the rain over the last few days. The cache is ready for the next winter.

I picked this one up while in the local area during the end of the June transition month for what I called the "Freeze and Fry Run"...snivel cold at night and in the morning, sun beating hot in the afternoon. I had to go to Cortez, CO to pick up some old friends from New Jersey to act as their tour guide while enroute to DIA. Of course, I was trying to hike and pick up a few caches before they arrived. I decided to give this one a try because it looked fun, had a decent D/T rating, and I am a big history nerd. I actually had this one solved back in 2015, but I had to cut that run short and missed the opportunity to come here. I was grateful to finally have that chance to come today and make the find. I don't know if I had bad reception or not, as the hint drew me away from where the (solved puzzle) final coordinates took me. I enjoyed the view. Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache for everyone to find, TFTC.
