Yes, you read that title correctly, you will be island hopping. The best place to begin your journey is at the Launch Site waypoint (which is also near a great spot for parking). This is not a quick kayak, and dash! You'll need to go to the posted coordinates to find out where you will be hopping to for the final. To reach the final, a portage of about 750 feet will be required.

So how do you find out the next launch site, and the final coordinates? I'm glad you asked...

At the posted coordinates, you're looking for a small name tag attached to a branch. There are several places to "park" your boat, then walk to the coordinates on this small island. Once you find the tag, enter the NAME on the tag into the geochecker to receive everything you need to know to complete this cache.

Just checking in so this doesn't get archived. Still within the construction zone. At least the swim beach opens soon, but sadly not the pond yet. Adding photo of closures.

Disabling while Chatfield does more work on this area of the park. They've made many changes and improvements since it flooded. Thanks for the heads up, and photo Kerewin0430.

Will re-enable when this area opens again in April/May.

Unfortunately, this area (roads and trails) is completely blocked off from the main east & west access points, as well as from the Audubon Center (south) for significant construction. I tried every method I could (including riding my bike well past where I should) to scope it out, and had a nice chat with a ranger. :-) He indicated that this area would not reopen again until April/May...

Had a nice little trip on the water with WingsAndTales to find this one - it's always nice to be able to portage by stuffing the kayak in the back of the vehicle... :-) Thanks for a fun adventure on a beautiful day!

This was one of the prime goals for the day and thanks to COpackrat and her kayak it was a success. I thought the hunt would take us a while. Well it would have taken me a long time because I was on the wrong side most of the time. My eagle-eyed partner in caching adventures spotted thankfully. The leaves may be turning early in the high country but it's still summer down here and we were pretty warm by the time we were done. TFTC

Well, that had to be one of the most evil hides I've ever had the pleasure of finding! Somehow, I got lucky and spotted it fairly quickly, but I definitely can imagine spending way too much time searching for it. Thanks for a really fun cache combining a couple of my very favorite activities! It gets a favorite point for sure.

Boat! We don't need no stinkin' boat! Really you don't. You can even send someone out to get the clue, but make sure you send the right person or you will end up having to go yourself (like I did) to find what is needed. Then back in the car (still no boat) and a bit of a hike (better than paddling) and another "portage" of sorts and there you have it. Give it a fav- not going to say most or least. Out caching with FeartheFish and driving his butt around like usual. Since this cache was his idea made him go get the final. TFTC!

Adding a missing favorite. Yes, I'm a horrible Human.

Bwah ha haaaa haaaaaa haaaaaaa!

Your aquatic journey was no match for the mighty Cryptosporidium-623 from planet FURON (and, his dancing band of alien pirate clones 831, 507, and 529, plus their K-9 Mark IV unit.

Just like a Hooman to give everything away! When Anum-Jaysun arrogantly elected to taunt the mighty Furon Empire with the photonic rendering of his spousal unit placing the illustrious "final", I knew immediately where in the sector the unit would be located.

Sure enough, within approximately 30 Earth seconds, I had the confirmed the same location mapped on "Ghuugl Eeeuuurrrttttthhh" and knew EXACTLY where to take our alien hordes!

Foolish Hooman! Why even make it a puzzle? Why not simply call the cache "The 53rd unglat on the left" and publish it online? Bwah ha haa haaaa haaaaaa!

Regardless, we had an excellent adventure and are thankful for this motivation to break out the aquatic hover skirt attachment for the invasion saucer.

Thank you for placing this device. It has been "Furonite" point!
