2 mile hike on the way to Hicks Mountain.
The GC website shows the location of this cache in the Denver Mountain Parks land, but I don't think this is accurate. According to DMP master map, there are actually 2 tracts of undeveloped land here; the Mount Judge Tract and the Hicks Mountain Tract. Walking along the old mining trail to get to this cache, you will pass through the Mount Judge Tract but this is not as far as the Hicks Mountain Tract.

Once the trail starting going uphill, we got tired and decided we couldn't go any further today.

The trail has a gentle slope until the last 1/4 mile or so, then there is a 200 foot gain for the last 1/4 mile.

Travelinghiker and I went for a fall stroll today to summit Hicks Mtn. Tree colors were peak and there was a light dusting of snow in the shady areas. Coming down from Hicks we passed behind this cache. TFTC

Welfare check on the way to the top of Hicks Mountain. Cache is in surprisingly pristine shape after several years of not being found.

I found this one with Nickgatt and my geohound, Cuervo. We headed up 103 and hiked up Mt. Hicks. TFTC SL.
