The trek to GZ was like a scene from a Disney movie: song birds, pheasants, and plenty of deer about. I left my hiking shoes at home so I had to work my way through the 4 foot snow drifts, but the hide is complete clear of snow. The views make the climb worthwhile. tft , L: Army man (Hooah!)

Cache is in fine shape. The hike up was fun following the game trails up the shear edge. Got up in time to watch the train come up the final climb to the summit. Was really fine. Gets a favorite just for the location. TFTC.

I am out from Aurora, Colorado. I am loving the geocaching out here in Southern, CO. I just road the train in Chama, NM. I am heading back home. I hope I get past all the forest fires. Thank you for the hide.

Really liked this one. We parked below the tracks along the highway (rather than the RR station) which added maybe 50' to what was a 250' climb to the cache. A faint game trail may help on the way up, but the terrain makes it clear which way to go. Cache is in fine shape, and is a good hide, very fair after the work required to get there. The view is first rate, too. TFTC

[#2805] Found September 9, 2017 14:22. It was a nice hike to snag this cache. Posting a picture of the log book, it appears that it has been over two years since it has actually found and the log signed. I spun thought the book and couldn't find any other signatures. I had attempted to hike to it in the spring but too much wet ground was still present. I waited till now and on a dry day... TFTC SL. gzh.
