We have been coming to this area for years. Several years ago, we happened across what my kids named the "monkey tree." It was such a favorite to my kiddos that we make a point of finding it every year that we're here with even one of them and take new pictures each time. We've introduced many of the kids' friends to the "monkey tree" as well. Fond memories made us think that we should place a geocache in the vacinty of the tree so others can enjoy the fun too.
Take the road that is up above Pitkin Cemetery. This is in the Quartz Creek real estate area. A lot of vehicles have stopped to take pictures with the monkey and its bananas. From the "monkey tree," follow the monkey's eyes to find this geocache.
