Hiked up to the cache. Beautiful day. I left some clues which I posted. The cache is right where I left it. 2 log posts! Thank you - I left more custom tokens for those who dare to hike uphill in Colorado

Whew. I went the "easy" way up the east side of the knob. Had a a few "pucker" moments, picking 'through the cliffs'. Definitely challenging, strenuous and not for the faint of heart. If I were to do it again, I would probably just go for it, and go straight up the south face of the knob.

Mad props to "flutiste" for being the ginny pig, and snagging the FTF!

TFTC! TNLN.

FTF! I earned this the HARD way! Don't go the way I did. We drove up the Poverty Gulch Road a few miles, and approached the geocache from the worst route possible on the west side of the "Knob". RockDoc gave up 1/3 of the way up, but I was determined. (There's a fine line between determination and stupidity!) I scrambled up an endless talus slope to a small cleft in the cliff. Trouble is, I had to come back down that way, and the only way I could do it safely was to "crab walk" down. I tore the seat of my pants. The path I took was dangerous, and I don't recommend it. Next time I do a cache like this, I'll plot it on the satellite photo first! My problem today is that we were flying blind -- however, it turned into a big adventure, and I survived!

The view up there is great! I enjoyed being there. Thankfully, the cache was really easy to find. After that horrendous climb up, I didn't want to have to search very hard for it! There's an easier way up on the east side of the "Knob", and I wish I had taken it!!! Either way, you have a steep climb of 1000' of elevation without a trail. High altitude hiking for sure! TFTC
