We all need a special place where we can get away by ourselves and renew our minds. This was my inspiration for this cache and its name "In the Quiet Place". There is a nice, short walk up to the cache and a place to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The cache container is an amo box, and I have painted things that are important to me on the inside. When you find the cache, feel free to think of things that are important to you, dance, sing, or simply just enjoy the quiet.

Turn South off U.S. 160 on FS 345. (You might want to stop in parking lot at the top of the first hill and log in Geo Cache "Gateway to Del Norte Peak".) Travel for 7.5 miles then turn right on FS 350-2B. Travel another 4.9 miles. Park and walk from this point for approximately 640 yards to the East. Watch for elk in this large meadow. This is "Willow Park". Take some time to enjoy your surroundings and the peace and "quiet".

On our first attempt at this cache, we made the mistake of going straight (right) onto 350 at 2.4 miles up 345, instead of going the full 7.5 miles on 345. After 1.8 more miles of 4WD road, our SUV announced that it wasn't crossing Willow Creek. We returned home to examine the satellite view and identify our mistake. Today we enjoyed a much easier drive to a beautiful spot. We can't wait to come back here in the evening for wildlife viewing. Thanks for leading us to a new favorite place.

TFTC!

Katie (a toy poodle) and I arrived about noon. The ammo can had water in it; I dried it out. The log was dry.
