Had a great time at the pass. Cacher's smartphone had an altitude of 12,101 at GZ. Thanks for the fun!

Didn’t get an altitude reading on my cell phone. Thanks for the cache!

Another road trip this year led us to this beautiful cache. Thank you so much for hiding and grooming. Many greetings from Germany.
The GPS is Ipad Air. Shows Elevation 12.092 Feet. See Fotos.

Driving over and back to Aspen today. Amazing avalanche debris along the road from the slides this winter. My iPhone showed 12,130 feet.

No elevation reading because we use cell phones to get GPS signal. It’s October 20 and there is already snow cover up here.

This was the primary goal of my day today, I like getting high. While not the highest I've ever driven, it's among the most scenic. The GPSr recorded 12,094 feet and since this was my 2nd day over 8,000 feet the air felt nice and thick. Found the nearby benchmark and then set out to explore a bit and find the other 2 caches up here. Thanks for the scenic virtual!

We use the app on our Android phones and haven't ever been able to get a good elevation reading. I have pictures and a few gray hairs to prove we made the trek up and over the mountain! TFTC

We are spending the Labor Day weekend in the Leadville area. This morning, we began by driving to Independence Pass. Arrived early before the crowds. After visiting the observation platform, we then hiked up to the summit of the nearby 13,500' unnamed peak. There was evidence of snow on Mt. La Platta. It was chilly when we arrived, but still a nice morning.
Our Garmin GPSmap 62s showed an elevation of 12,021' at the sign.
Many thanks.

Time to say goodbye to the grandkids in California and head back to Kansas City. Picking up a few counties along the way. Day 3 of the return trip. We left Grand Junction, CO, this morning. Got snowed on at Independence Pass, saw Doc Holliday's grave, got the oldest Colorado cache, did lots of twisty roads and saw some beautiful country while picking up 10 more counties. Thanks for all of the caches along the way to make the trip more interesting.
I think this makes my highest find. It was spitting snow when we visited. My Garmin Montana showed 11,927.
Thanks for the smiley.

After cheering on my friend as she finished the Leadville 100 this morning, I headed towards Independence Pass to get the other caches I had targeted for the weekend. It was still dark (and COLD) when I arrived, so I waited for the sun to start to come up before I started on the caches in the area. My Etrex30 reads 12,097' at the sign - I think that's pretty accurate! Thanks for placing this virtual! (Something is wrong with image uploading, I'll keep trying to upload the pic of me)

Awesome! Driving to Denver and stopped at the divide. We had iPhones, but no service so I couldn't check the logging requirements, so no altitude. Sorry!

My Garmin 64S said I was at 12,012 feet. Thanks for keeping this old virtual cache going as it is my highest find to date.
