Welcome to Urban Caving. As you speed down the interstate or drive along any old regular street you may not realize that you are on top of a gigantic underground layout of urban caves. The cache is not at the listed coordinates. Don't go after or in rainy conditions.

Long Meadow Cave:

This cave is a very simple system with only a handful of tunnels to explore, so we though it perfect for our first tunnel cache.

Directions:
Your GPS will only help in getting to the starting point, after that your on your own.....
Go in the tunnel that you see thegeocachekids pointing to in the picture. Then go into the first chamber and continue on strait. After a short distance, you should come to a second chamber. The cache is a small metal tin located on the manhole cover above you.

I really enjoyed placing this cache, and i hope to do more in the future !

Congratulations to ____ for FTF!

I had a great time with this cache - first saw it on the map ages & ages ago... Struthers Cave cache too. Never got either of them before going on numerous similar adventures back home. there are a few adventures of this sort around here & everyone should try 'em !! Smile

Found the replacement cache today while exploring this Urban cave. Knocked out the magnetic piece out so I replaced it with another magnetic device that I had in my geocaching bag. Thanks for placing this fun cache for me to find today.

I've been wanting to try & find this one for a long time but wanted someone else with me. Knew it has not been found in over a year but tried anyway. It was no where to be found. We even checked the catch basin at the end of the tunnel. Also chased bats out of the left tunnel which we checked just in case. Time for a CO check or archive?

We checked both tunnels and followed all directions. We did not find it. (._.)

Found safe and secure with OF-Erad before heading next door for the GCCO event. As others have stated, there is plenty of feces present; however, it is more likely coyotes using this spot as a den as opposed to local dogs as others have suggested...TFTC SL
