Located near the old Ghost town of North Empire. The sixth of the series.

This is actually located below the old townsite. I placed it here so "normal" vehicles could get to it. Ghost cache 6a - North Empire is a micro cache that is at the actual site. The original contents of the cache contained:

Vial of gold (yes its real)
Waterproof Matchbox
Furry mouse
Keychain knife
Light Stick
Light Crawler
Wheresgeorge bill

Camera - please take your pic and log the frame number, I will post the pics when the camera is full.


June 20 03 - The original cache may have been on private property so the box has been taken and it is now a micro cache alongside the road. Very easy. The view down the valley is worth the trip.

To log the cache email me the code word inside the cannister.

I have been wanting to get up here for a long time. When I decided to go to the GCCO campout this year this was a perfect way to have some fun on the way. Happily Kerewin0430 was able to got along and share the adventure. Nice to see an old one still in play. TFTC

WingsAndTales invited me to do some caching on the way to the campout, so I happily took the day off, not fully knowing just how great this day was going to end up being! With nerves of steel, she got us up and down the mountain...all I had to do was enjoy the beautiful scenery and hike a little...rough life! We stopped here to air up tires again on the way down. Thank you for placing this cache.

There was snow on the ground, so even if the cache is still here, I didn't want to dig through snow drifts to find a frozen pile of rocks.

Didn't see anything that matched the hint or terrain rating. Might want to check on this. Beautiful area though that I never knew existed.

looks like some grading & excavating was recently done here. no rocks anywhere near fence.
