A tricky deceptive cache hidden in the trees above Cripple Creek.

Our neighbor Ed, a dyed-in-the-wool mountain man, drives these old mining roads instead of the newfangled highway. This small cache is for Ed and Puppy! Get your bearings before heading into the trees and then look low. One of these things is not like the other! Not available in the snow.

Major spoilers in the hint, so don't look unless you have to!

Most unfortunately, I couldn't find this one today. I drove the Jeep to within about 100 feet or so of GZ, where there was a pullout from the main "road", that continued on a bit. I then made the short, easy hike/walk to the coordinates, and spotted one of those older Toyota campers within about 50 feet of GZ -- to the east. Apparently, the pullout "road" continues on a bit to a single campsite, which is where they were at, although I never saw any of them. I spent quite a bit of time in and around all of the trees, turning over dozens and dozens of rocks (per the hint), but never found the cache. Dang. Photo attached of the center area of the trees, but I expanded my search well outside of that area, and still came up empty. Bummer.

Last summer I was driving to the cache in Marma's Pt Cruiser, Let just say I lost a lot of motor oil. But Marma doesn't know nothing so Shhhhhhhhhhhhh!.......... Today we took my high clearance pickup and had no problems. This cache clears a 5 mile radius from our home of all Geocaches, there must be a challenge cache for that somewhere? Thanks Smile[:x]

Not sure where the best place to start this cache might be. I started from the overlook off of HW 67 to the East. I had to look twice before I saw the container. TFTC.
