Scenic Overlook at Lands End

Whether you are driving the gravel switch back road up to Grand Mesa from US Hwy 50 via Kannah Creek Road, or you are already atop Grand Mesa by a different route, the overlook at Lands End offers a nice stopping point and vista. Should you take in the view at the stone wall barrier, chipmunks will probably come quite close. With the cache so close to the parking lot, a modicum of stealth may be necessary.

Up at Cedaredge for Apple Festival and decided best to come check this cache out. Missing!
Had an exact replacement bought at same time as original cache, carried in geobag with small parts in it for the 4+ yrs and hated to loose it but wanted to keep original as this was our thirteenth cache placement (now nearing 250) and this is by far one of our most often found caches. Very surprised that it has not gone missing multiple times since! dropped a bug in the works.

Have a passel of new TBugs that we garnered at an event yesterday. We plan to start dropping some of them off yet this evening but before we do that ALL bugs deserve to visit the biggest highest flat top mountain in the world - Grand Mesa! With over 300 lakes on top it is a major source of the local water supply and rising over 5000' in less than 3 miles from its base with average height of 10,500' it qualifies as a mountain! p.s. this is by far our most popular cache up here and thus chosen for the watchers of the travels of their bugs, we will leave our numerous IACG series for the permanent resident bugs - mosquitoes and gnats!
