Unfortunately mitigation has changed a lot of my favorite trails. This is on bearberry trail. This trail always made me think of my mom and how she would have loved to hike it before the mitigation.  

Memory: I was geocaching and found a piece of an animal inside a rotting tree. 

This location is showing life after death. Maybe the tree was hit by lightning or just decaying, but his friend next to him is very much alive. About 30 feet off trail uphill.

WOO-HOO! Finally found this one after a long search, including a PAF to Greasepot. Her coords were fine, my fat fingers input a wrong digit, leading Boonie and I on a wild goose chase for 15 minutes, D'Oh! Speaking of Life after Death, this place looks like a different planet back here after all of the "mitigation work". Between 3 Sisters and Flying J, I would argue they went a little overboard with recreating the Lorax book by Dr. Seuss, Beat It Once-ler. Anyhow happy to add my purple stamp right behind GP's, Cheers and TFTC!

My gps was way off. Greasepot helped me out with more accurate gps. Hope this helps.

FTF 9:36. Found it 236 feet from posted coords n .850 w .071 glad to not walk away with a dnf. Thanks

No luck today. My gps zeroed a little below the trail. Couldn’t find anything matching the clue. I searched about 120 feet out from my coords. I also searched downhill from the trail - because that could be 30 ft uphill from the nearby trail.
