The side way is an alternate route to get up to the Red Mesa Loop at Deer Creek Canyon. I've seen bike tracks , but bikers tend to not use this trail.

Keep going up the trail past A Goober Jar - the trail turns back toward the cache

You're looking for a quart size camoed water bottle hanging in a tree.

There is a FTF coin that has a specific mission. The coin owner requests "if you are first to find AND plan on making one of your own caches we would like it placed in that cache for the next first to find.... and so on."

Tried this one several years ago and it was missing, but had better luck today! Signed log and took a few pictures down the trail. Thanks to COpackrat for replacing the container!

This was my 4th of 10 finds on a sunny January Sunday! Great day in an area I have never been to. There are some unusual fenced areas up the hill that I was trying to figure out, but oh well. TNLN!

I was on my way up for another trip to Golden, and fortunately had time to pick up a few caches. I’ve been to this area before, but bypassed this trail and the cache on previous trips. I managed to cross the stream at the remains of the bridge. The ice was thick enough for me to cross while inbound; it groaned a bit, but held. I wasn’t so lucky outbound…good thing I keep a spare set of clothes in the Xterra. My only concern was a wet sock, but still…snivel, snivel. I was happy to make the find with no drama. Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache for everyone to find and brining me to this cool spot, TFTC.

Continued up trail from Goober Jar. Easy find in tree slightly off of trail. SL

Took a short walk up this nice trail and left a replacement container - it's more a small now, but hopefully will last. Thanks for showing me this interesting approach!
