Our 2nd cache in the Jeeping series, the first of which is in Silverton.
The cache is located near the beginning of our favorite 4WD trail in the area, Engineer pass. You can easily access the cache via the trail if you have a Jeep or other 4WD, or you can hike up the trail about 1/8th of a mile if you don't have 4WD (don't try the trail in a 2WD car - you won't make it). The cache is hidden only a few feet off the trail, and there's parking nearby. The cache is a clear Tupperware container originally containing: Deck of Playing Cards 4 American Flags Pens and pencils 2 Hot Wheels cars Headache Patch LogbookHave Fun! We'll be back to check on our cache next year on our annual 4 wheeling trip.

NMFireHorse and Scotty the Highlander got warmed up on Lime Creek Road, and now to try to get to Lake City. We weren't about to DNF anything we could get to along the way, including this cache. Thanks for giving us a reason to do the drive, for the history, for bringing us here, and for the fun cache! XNSL, DBs

Used this cache as the "how much farther on this road" cache coming from Animas Forks. One scary road in a Toyota Highlander. Found with CougarOx thanks for the cache.

UTL, walked up the road and spent some time looking. As I was going down along the rock face I ran into some stinging nettles, so with shorts on I did not proceed to search the whole area I would like to have searched. Hope it is still there.

I picked this one up while in the local area during the end of the June transition month for what I called the "Freeze and Fry Run"...snivel cold at night and in the morning, sun beating hot in the afternoon. I had to go to Cortez, CO to pick up some old friends from New Jersey to act as their tour guide while enroute to DIA. Of course, I was trying to hike and pick up a few caches before they arrived. I decided to give this one a try because it looked fun and had a decent D/T rating. I was grateful to make the find after a short hunt and without too much drama. I enjoyed the view and the hunt. Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache for everyone to find, TFTC.
