NEW COORDINATES for this cache as of 8/25/2005. New container and goodies too. GPS was reading accurate to 18'. Easy, short walk on slight slope from the road.
If the gate is closed, park on the right hand side of the turn off and take a short hike to the cache. You may want to park at the gate, even if it is open....sometimes the oilfield workers will close and lock the gate on their way out. If you get locked in, the fence next to the cattle guard gate can be opened and you can drive out, remember to put the fence back up!!!

Turn off Highway 160 between Durango and Bayfield near the following coordinates:N 37 13.584' W 107 41.702' Cross the cattle guard and proceed down a good gravel road to cache site. Cattle graze this section of Public Land and elk, mule deer, coyote, and bobcat also live in the area. Watch out for cactus along the walk.

Cache container is a MEDIUM SIZED PLASTIC CONTAINER. Replacement contents (contributed by the ACTcachekids) include:Log book, FoCoGeo Pencil, small picture frame, tiny bungee cord, blue tonka toy racer, green bug-eye frog, Harry Potter Magnet, blue smiley eraser, longhorn keychain, small tan toy puppy, flashlight keychain.

Really liked this one. It is nice to have to take a short hike in the woods for a cache. The cache is in great shape and the spring wildflowers are beginning to show their colors. Beautiful day today for this find. Signed the log and returned the cache. Thanks BayfieldCachecats & ACTcachekids for the hide.

Stopped here again on our way back home. We were interested to see if anyone found it and just didn't log it on here yet. No addition to the paper log, but the container had been moved since our last visit and it was empty. We placed some things we had on hand and a trackable.

Another day of adventure in one of our favorite places in the world. Love being here--thanks for giving us something to hunt.
