Start from the Conifer loop of the Aspen Meadows camp ground. Be mindful of Muggles camping in the area. You will be walking up hill and up rocks. Look for a lone Aspen tree and you are there.
This is a small water proof container with a log and room for small items. If you take something, leave something. You will have to go a bit off the beaten path to find this cache. Our 5 year old was able to make the climb...so can you.

Don't think I took the most direct path to this but was glad it was there after all of the rock climbing. TFTC. SL.

On a day that was projected to be a scorcher, we decided to head to a higher elevation to escape the heat, walk and cache. Golden Gate Canyon State Park was our chosen destination. It was a short bushwhack uphill from the creek to this cache. There is a social trail that follows the creek along the east side and we would suggest staying on that trail until the cache location is almost directly east of you. The rocks are pretty easy to navigate there and there's no climbing over deadfall. The aspen tree that marks the location is quite dead. There was no room in the cache for swag, so took nothing, left nothing, signed log. There is also no trackable in the cache. Thanks leahhuffersolomon for placing this cache so that we can play! BTW - the high showing on our weather station was 106 degrees, and Denver hit a record high 105 degrees.

tough climb up hill and around downed trees, some from our group didn't make it to the cache. The tree does not appear healthy. TFTC
