This cache is a combination of the Heart Attack and a view of the north side of the High Park fire.
You will be looking over the Cache la Poudre down to Mountain Park campground.
The trek to get to the cache is on the extreme end as the trail is steep with loose material and overhanging branches.
The cache is a combined effort of TRR pulling together to come up with some swag and logbook to fill a 30mm ammo can provided by Mountain Roamer.

As of the cache listing date, the Poudre Canyon is very subjective to mudslides. Some road closures may be implemented with out warning!

Thanks to all of the firefighters and air support who fought the High Park Fire.

What a hike! This one lives up to its name! Found it after a good amount of walking and a little bit of rock scrambling. Such great views when I got to the cache, even with the rain.

Here are some more pictures from 2012, when we placed this cache. Just thought ya'll might like to see them. It's too bad this trail is closed now to motorized vehicles, as it was a very steep and challenging. It was a fun adventure when we placed this cache.

Happy New Year! What an absolutely gorgeous day to do some snowshoeing in the high country. The temperature was 10° when I left the truck and it was 20° when I returned in the afternoon. There wasn't a cloud within 20 miles and there was only an occasional wisp of breeze. I made the loop plus a few detours to get all the caches in the vicinity. Made the big loop hiking up Heart Attack Hill, then back down the by-pass trail. The snow added an extra degree of difficulty locating the containers along the way but I was successful on every one.

After scoring on Girlz Rule! I headed down the trail, eventually reaching the turn to go up the hill. My legs were burning going up this steep ridge. I reached GZ and scratched my head some. So many vertical possibilities. I took off the snowshoes and did a little scrambling, using extra caution because of the snow. After about 10 minutes of searching I spied the container. It took a little care getting to it but I made the grab. Signed the log and took the TB that KingJR left. This was my last cache of the day and I was worn out when I got back to the truck. Thanks Team Red Rubicon, this is a really nice location!

I was out today with Team Red Rubicon running Kelly Flats. It's amazing how the trail to the cache has changed...but I guess I shouldn't be surprised with the recent flooding.

Found while wheeling with Team Laxon and Team Red Rubicon! The trail leading to the cache is closed now, but a nice hike up the hill will certainly cause some heartburn! Dropped Alvin the Aligator TB.
