THIS IS A CHALLENGE CACHE, which is located at the listed coordinates. To log a find, you must have completed the challenge requirements specified below, and have signed this cache's field log

THE JASMER! Just the name inspires excitement and enthusiasm amongst challenge cache seekers! Many have written in their Found logs that it’s the greatest challenge they’ve accomplished. Because it’s crux requires finding some really “ancient” caches, the Jasmer Challenge is often our initial serious introduction to these golden treasures of geocaching. Some of us get hooked on these oldies, and we wouldn’t consider planning a trip to an area that’s new for us without making a Pocket Query to identify “old” caches near our general destinations. And the Favorite points really pile up for these really special caches: in late-summer 2014, Mingo had 1173 Favorites, Beverly had 672, Missouri’s First 406, Unoriginal Stash 751, Beaver Cache 404, and here in Colorado, Tarryall had 357 Favorite points. Yes, there’s real excitement about these and many more caches that make the Jasmer so very, very special!

So, all of you who have logged Jasmer Challenges in one or more states, what’s your next Challenge that involves finding more of these golden oldies? Well, this cache should provide some entertainment and lots of pleasures for you! To qualify for this challenge, you must find a minimum of two caches placed in each of the months since geocaching began in May 2000, up to and including the month that you complete the challenge and log your find. My grid, shown here, demonstrates what needs to be done.

JASMER CHALLENGE

So check your Jasmer grid and see if you already have two or more caches in each of the monthly cells. If you don’t have a “double”, add another dimension to the planning of your future caching activities, and locate caches you’ll need to fill the entire grid a second time. Of course to complete the requirements you will also need to find the cache in the field and sign the cache log before you can claim your find. When you log your find, document your completion by including a screen shot of your Jasmer grid in your Found log. Have fun doubling your Jasmer pleasures!

For obvious reasons, the overall Difficulty/Terrain rating for this challenge is 5.0/5.0. But the D/T for actually accessing and finding the cache is 1.5/1.5. The cache is hidden on Falcon Ridge, a property that I own. It is managed as an active farm, as well as for wildlife habitat. The entire property is permanently protected through two Conservation Easements that require you to reach the cache location by walking along our farm roads.

You have our permission to come onto the property to locate the cache. Drive up Falcon View Drive and park in front of the green gate. For purposes of the sign near the highway, you are a Guest. From parking, walk west along the tree-shaded farm road for about 1/4 mile. When you reach a north-south farm road turn left and walk south for 1/4 mile to the cache location. No smoking is allowed on Falcon Ridge, per common sense and per stipulations of the Conservation Easements. Access is restricted to daylight hours. Enjoy your time at this special place! Do NOT attempt to approach the cache from the west. Such an approach would require trespass across a neighbor’s property and would necessitate a very difficult crossing of an irrigation canal.

Temporarily Disable Listing 05/27/2019 By Denali41
I'm temporarily disabling this cache because the road leading to it is not currently accessible. If a traveling cacher has been counting on this one, please message me and I will give alternative instructions on how the cache can be safely approached. I will enable the cache again as soon as the road situation is corrected.

I believe I was one of the first few to sign the logbook - at the time (2012) I just had 50K finds ;-)

mondou2 has used Project-GC to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.

Long way from qualifying for this one but was in the area so decided to find and sign. Hope to change this to a find some day down the road!

Signed the log while in the area for the other challenge, but I'm still one month away from a single Jasmer. This makes the second challenge like this that I have signed.

I was not paying attention...I do not have a double Jasmer. In fact, the plan is to fill my first one on this trip.

Out from Atlanta exploring Colorado with FLtravelers for a few days. He was able to finish all his counties, while I made more progress on the state. Lots of fun caches were found along the way, including this one.

Nothing like starting the day with a 5/5! My profile shows qualifications on this one.

Flew out to Denver with zanna to grab a cache in the smattering of counties I had left in Colorado. Along the route we stopped for highly favorited caches, virtuals, earthcaches, webcams, Colorado's oldest, and whatever else that looked interesting. This was certainly one of these. Great spot. TFTChallenge. See image on profile page.

The best thing about this hide was meeting Denali41! We came to Colorado to target some old hides and while on this trip, I completed my triple Jasmer, so signing into this Jasmer challenge cache was a must. I enjoyed the tour and the walk to GZ with flash, Lisdowney and the CO. Thank you for placing this one.
