Takes less than an hour  Scenic view  Available at all times  Parking available

This small lock n' lock is less than a 500 ft. walk up the Platte River Trail near Lake George in the Pike Nat'l. Forest.  Should you want to walk it, the trail is a distance of 9.43 miles (out and back) and has an elevation gain of 1814 ft.  Not for the weak of heart and definitely not a requirement for this cache.

The cache contains a Liberty Head dollar, pencil and sharpener, Rite in the Rain logbook and a crystal.  You'll probably experience some bounce on your GPS.

Take in the beautiful views of the river.  Please obey all of the parking signs. If you can't park in the designated Waypoint Parking, there are pull offs alongside the road.  It is not wheelchair accessible.  CITO.

Woo-HOO, FTF at 1:22pm ! And another great Granitegrabber cache on a trail that I never knew existed. I didn't make the full trek of over 9 miles, I went just far enough to get the smiley after parking at the recommended spot which is big enough for 3 cars. There was one other when I got there -- they were fishing in the river.
Made the 450 foot walk along the trail from parking to the cache site, and found the container after just a minute or two (of looking in the wrong spot -- I have a bad habit of doing that). Stamped the log (photo attached), TN and left a Diabetes proxy trackable and a metal brain teaser puzzle, as I know the cache owner loves puzzles (joke).
Quick walk back to the car and was on my way. Favorite Point for another great location by Granitegrabber and the FTF. Thanks !!!
