Ancient Samurai Sudoku 2

Upon his graduation from the academy and being dubbed the Sudoku Samurai, Hikymuku embarked on many adventures and engaged in countless battles. His legend grew with each victory. Many men tried to challenge him, only to have to bow to his superior warrior skills and intellect. As with most great warriors, there was only one foe he could not defeat, and that was love. One day, while sharing a victory toast with his allies, Hikymuku saw across the dining room, the most stunning creature he had ever seen. Granted, Hikymuku spent most of his life at the academy and on the battle field surrounded only by men, but Hikymuku was immediately struck by the beauty of the young woman. The Sudoku Samurai caught the eye of the lady as well. The Sudoku Samurai, the bravest, strongest, and wisest warrior in the land, felt his heart beat with anxiety and his knees quiver with weakness as he struggled to find the right words as he introduced himself to the woman, whose beauty radiated throughout the room. Hikymuku learned that her name was Yoshiko, and that she was the daughter of a rich landowner. They spent the rest of the evening in conversation, lost to the rest of the room. Being a noble and proper gentlemen, Hikymuku simply bowed slightly to the fair Yoshiko as she departed for the night. The Sudoku Samurai spent the days following that chance encounter consumed with thoughts of Yoshiko and her kindness and beauty. Hikymuku was unable to think about anything other than her face and trying to find a way to spend even a few more minutes with her. Knowing that he could not engage in battle in his present state of mind for he would easily be defeated, the warrior hero decided to go to Yoshiko’s father and ask for her hand in marriage. Yoshiko’s father had heard tell of the exploits of the Sudoku Samurai. Because Hikymuku and Yoshiko came from different backgrounds, her father reluctantly agreed to allow Hikymuku to marry his daughter, if, and only if, he proves that the legends are true. The hand of the landowner’s daughter could only be given to Hikymuku, if the warrior could solve yet another Samurai Sudoku. The landowner paid several samurai to work together to create the most difficult Samurai Sudoku that could be created by men, and he presented that to Hikymuku. Guided by love and the longing for Yoshiko, the most valuable prize Hikymuku ever knew, he seemed to solve the puzzle immediately. Much to the delight of the fair lady, the Sudoku Samurai had proven himself worthy, and was presented the beautiful Yoshiko as his bride. A tribute to the love that Hikymuku and his bride Yoshiko shared has been placed near a location similar to that of the chance encounter that brought the two together. That tribute is not located at the above coordinates. In order to visit the tribute, which some say exudes the love the warrior and his wife feel for each other, and affix your seal to the scroll, you will have to solve the same Samurai Sudoku puzzle that Hikymuku solved in order to win the love of his life. Solving that puzzle will give you the coordinates to the monument dedicated to their union, and possibly unhide the key for you to find your true love as well. There may be many muggles present, so the stealth of the ninja will be required, as some of those muggles may be descendents of warriors defeated by Hikymuku, and would love the opportunity to besmirch the name of the Sudoku Samurai. A small token of victory awaits the first warrior with love enough to discover the scroll’s location. Further stories, puzzles, and adventures await all who accomplish this monumental task.

Wow. What an awesome puzzle. Had a mistake the first try but then got it to work. Then I had to decipher it. I'll have to go look for Part 1 now. Easy find although I had a muggle staring at me so I had to wait for him to look away before retuning it. Thanks. Favorite awarded.

Solved some time last winter but just now here to find it. Somehow I got a muggle break to find it but had to wait a while to get it returned.

Took me two tries to solve the puzzle but I finally got it. Then at GZ it took some stealth to make the find. And I was in such a stealthy mood, I put the cache in my bag and tried to hide the pen. I realize my error and returned the cache to its proper location. TFTC

Solved with the help of my crew. Thanks for the insane puzzle. I think it should be ranked harder than 2.5, but there are probably others out there that didn’t spend a week trying to solve it.
