Came out for a hike with Merganser and our dogs, the log was a little damp, but not too bad, I replaced the zip lock that it was in, TFTC!

Found it, but unfortunately it needs some maintenance. The interior is very wet and slimy, apparently from the combination of a ruptured bubble jar and dissolved hard candies. Signed the log, but it needs a good drying (and washing) out.

I took today off work to have a 4-day Thanksgiving weekend and decided to do some caching up Poudre Canyon since my wife had to work on Black Friday. After a nice hike up Roaring Creek in search of Dan Edwards' cache of the same name, I headed back down the canyon to the McConnel trailhead. I have never been on this mountain and I really enjoyed it.

I should have read the logs sooner as I made the mistake of climbing up to GZ. After about 15 minutes of looking for the box, I finally decided to read the logs. With that information I made my way to the real GZ and found the ammo can hiding in its hidey hole. Signed the log book somewhere in the middle as people have used up most all the pages. Thanks Tim&Char for placing this nice cache!!!

As of today, there is now a coupon for a free bag of Rebel Popcorn in the cache. You're welcome.

Made the hike up here with my dog today. There was snow and ice on the trail and it was a bit treacherous in spots. Both me and the pup took a couple tumbles. We only hiked the nature trail b/c of the trail condition so will have to return for the other nearby caches. As for the cache itself I wished I read previous logs before heading out. You don't need to leave the trail to find this one. The coordinates want you to go up hill but you certainly don't need to. I normally wouldn't want to spoil a cache but in this case I think it is important to mention so folks don't take any unnecessary tumbles making a climb. Thanks for placing this one. I'm look forward to returning to the area when less ice and snow is on the ground

The morning canyon winds were rather ominous but once we got to the Mountain Park, only a gentle breeze and a few clouds were present. Enjoyed the hike and a chance to geocache along the way. Thanks for placing this cache...took a bit of searching as our gps placed the cache a bit further up the hillside! Nonetheless, logic paid off and we finally made the find :)!
