Visited the State Wildlife Area and explored for a little bit on our way to the Red Feather Lakes Area.  This area is open to the non hunting public from May 1st to September 1st.

This cache requires a short walk from the trail head along the trail.  We placed it in a collection of rocks.  Enjoy this spot and the other caches in the near vicinity.  Watch for cacti (blooming beautifully at the time of placement).  Other wild flowers populate this site.

I hate to say it, but this one evaded us even with the large amount of time that we spent looking and crawling and poking around. We finally ran out of time and have to call off da search. Maybe next time, TFTC.

I was in the area today with my puppy Orizaba doing ground truthing of a cache I recently placed--before I submit it for review and publication. It was easy to stop in the parking area and make the short hike to this cache location. The cache was in hand in no time. Thanks for a nice placement, Pixel Magic.
