Just finished our hike up to Mays Peak and it was sure tough for this Kansas flatlander. When we reached the bottom, we noticed the trailhead for this cache so what the heck....let's do it! I'm crazy! Had to make multiple stops along the way and even got the leg shakes as we neared the top. These are some impressive boulders and my son in law enjoyed climbing on them. Where does he get the energy!!!! Fav point indeed. Now to get down, get lunch and some Aleve!!!

It was a beautiful Colorado spring morning, so we got out on the trails early to enjoy God’s handiwork. We ended up hiking 10+ miles with 2700+ feet of elevation gain. We summited Mounts Buckhorn and Kineo, so we enjoyed some awesome views. What a great day!
Nice trail to summit and easy find after we got to the top. This cache is almost 18 years old- that deserves a favorite point! Thanks to the CO for keeping it going all these years.

Here from KY visiting my daughter and finding some caches. This one was both a mental and physical test. I was debating whether to go for it after the ascent to Paul Barclay Stash. I finally convinced myself that I had to try since I was this close. I had a few doubts as I ascended, but I pushed on. Finally at the top, I looked where I thought the cache would be at GZ, but no cache. I looked at some previous logs, looked down and I was standing next to it the whole time! Thanks for this old cache!

Definitely worth a higher difficulty rating! The straight ascent definitely made this a lot more fun! Clinging to roots, scrambling up the gullies. Then it turned to snow. I could see the partially filled in tracks of the last cacher to visit here. The snow was actually helpful in providing foot holds in some places. As I was searching around GZ, 4 people came hiking up. None of them saw me as they passed within 20 feet of me. When the last one was past me I said “How are you doing?” And startled the guy. The other three were climbing around GZ so I asked if they were looking for the Geocache. One of them claimed to be a cacher and said it was in the cave under the giant boulder. They continued on and I decided to trust the GOS instead. I walked over it 3 times without seeing it. The snow had mostly covered it. I loved the adventure and I needed this date. Thank you for keeping this cache going!

Decided to take the much longer path rather than the straight up ascent. I’m not sure which would have been better. I know once I arrived I’m sure the rocks were happier than I was. I was just exhausted. But the views were spectacular and the hike wasn’t all that bad. I grabbed the TB. I decided to take the much shorter and quicker “path” straight down the hill. TFTH.

Find #4422 @ 5:34:00 PM on 6/25/2018:
I thought this cache might be approachable directly from the pass and even though it might be, I opted to stay on the winding trail up to the peak. It was much longer but also much more gradual and probably safer given I was hiking by myself.
The views from the trail were good so that made it worth the trip -- you do need to keep an eye and ear out for MTBers coming downhill. I passed a few on my way who were flying. The top is a crazy place, I had no idea how big the rocks were. Found the cache at the coordinates thanks to the last finder.
Thanks Gil&Ani for placing and maintaining this oldie!
By the time I was back to the car I had managed to make GC67 and this cache a 6 mile hike. Navigation skills must be taking a hit from the thin air.

Today is becoming a comedy of errors. After getting done with Paul the game was on. And I payed. But eventually with the help of the phone and GPSr the find is made. Previous finder said 100" plus off, That actually helped greatly. Very glad the rock did NOT crush me. Long and the short of it the cache is back, I think where it belongs. At least where the phone and GPSr coordinates say it should be. Between rocks. Under a dead fall to conceal the WHITE container.

Found it. I think someone misplaced it because it was close to 100 feet off, and underneath the BIGGEST boulder in the area in the middle of some burnt pieces of wood. I’m going to leave it really close to the spot I found it but not in the middle of the little campfire. Maybe someone who knows where it really belongs can replace it properly if it is indeed in the wrong spot now. Tftc

Visiting Colorado from Pittsburgh. Geocaching with Lady Bug Lady. We enjoy hiking in North Cheyenne Cañon Park. Parked in the upper lot and hiked up High Road then up the trail to the top of Mt. Buckhorn to find the cache. It was a foggy day and it was really cool hiking up there. Thanks much for the cache.

This was not real easy to find because there are so many boulders, but I did at the end of a Long Day's hike. Peace & contentment!
