A multi-cache honoring those of Delta County, Colorado, who gave their lives in service to their country.

CEMETERY IS CLOSED DUSK TO DAWN! Please show respect for the hours and the lives represented

This multi cache is to direct the mind to remember and honor those who gave everything.

A small portion of well know verse is cast in the plaque attached to the monument.  To what war is it referring, WWI, WWII, Korea?  If you do not already know the background, we highly recommend researching this piece of verse.  The story and subsequent history is quite interesting and worth the time. To find second stage and logbook for this cache:

For N coordinate:

Add up the total of the digits of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post number
Multiply the total by 10 - Then add 26
Add the total to the last 3 digits of 1st stage N coordinate.

For the W coordinate:

a) If date of Dedication was Memorial Day of 1953, add 128 to last three digits

b) If dedication was Veterans Day of 1953, add 148 to final three digits.

Out teaching Geocaching 101 to a newbie friend - found cache in good shape
This is only her second cache and being a multi is not the easiest in the world
Other than how to work and follow the gps, thinking logically she pretty much had this one basically figured out on her own in advance of each stage
