An easy find along this beautiful trail. I have never hiked this far in. It sure did get real tough when I was about .4 mile from this cache. Maybe the trail washed out but I finally figured out I had to climb up a pretty good chimney in the rock to get back to a decent trail. I would recommend getting to this cache from the Cheeseman Dam cache even though it is quite a climb back out the views are fantastic & so is the trail.

Its still here and looking good. Almost gave up looking at GZ but expanded search to the next obvious location and there it was. Dog, Roxy, and I are after all the geos in this area today. Nice cool moving clouds day to hike in and back. That going back up those stairs was a real task but with a few breaks we got it done.

For such a nice guy hartsdale, I was sure thinking some bad thoughts about you at one point. I'd hiked in from the trailhead just above the lake with my wife, and 2 and 5 year old kids. I left them at the previous cache as they were a bit out of juice and I just couldn't pass this one up. Not wanting to leave them alone for long, I basically ran down the trail from above. But did I run back up? No. I trudged back up like an out-of-shape, middle-aged slug! Thought I was in better shape than I guess I am - that climb back up absolutely shredded me. Ah well, I got the cache, I made it back up, and no Zulu children were lost to gravity or wild animals in the meantime ;) Thanks, I appreciate the cache! SL - Zulu
