Welcome to The High Point Council Circle. Stand in the center for views of Pikes Peak, Rampart Range, Mt. Elbert, Long's Peak and Downtown Denver. This is the Ridgeline's highpoint at 6280 feet. Log only, bring your own pencil. This cache gives a great view of some of the 14er's on the front range.

This is a replacement for GC2VJMA - Ridgegate #2 - The High Point Council Circle. which keeps disappearing. I am making this an easy multi to give some space away from the high traffic area. PLEASE replace carefully so others can enjoy.

1. Go to the coordinates and orient your view towards Grays & Torreys Peaks and Mt. Evans.  They look so small from this distance, as if they were only millimeters tall.

2. Add the elevations given at your feet for Grays & Torreys and Mt. Evans.  Your number will look like XX,XXX.

3. Now go towards Grays & Torreys XX,XXX millimeters.

4. Look around for something mountains are made of.

Fun little multi while hiking Ridgeline Open Space. TFTC!

I parked in the neighborhood below and headed on up. There are rain clouds off in the distance but so far so good. However, they did cover up the mountains. I did the calculations and headed in what I hoped what was the right direction. Look out for all the cactus! I didn't quite look hard enough the first go round, but stuck with it until I came up with the cache. Awesome hide. Thanks for the smiley! Find #3505.

Have a quiet weekend so I decided to grab a few for the 360 degrees of Colorado challenge. Hopped in the car kinda early and headed south. When I started out it was 64 degrees and sunny, the rain rolled in and it dropped down to 48 in a hurry. I enjoyed my hikes today, lots of flowers, rocks, cactus and birds to look at. I'll probably hit a few more tomorrow, it will be awesome to get to below 100 red rays!

We rode our horses up here today. Cars had filled up the designated trailer parking at the Bluffs lot so we parked at Cabelas and started at the east end which is much more peaceful. I did the calculations at GZ but because it was cloudy we couldn’t see the peaks so I used west degrees in my projection. As we got close to GZ my huggle says I got it. So a quick find for him after I did all the work.

This was the second stop for my dog Jack and I in the hills. Cool spot and I LOVE the idea of doing a multi up here. And the puzzle was perfectly done. I did the calculation without any problem and off I went. Once I got to GZ though things went a bit haywire.

I searched and searched for what I figured I'd be looking for given the hint. But, no sign of it. But how would something like that get muggled over here?? Search some more. Expand my search. Grab my hiking pole and poke around. Nothing, nothing, nothing.

Fast forward 15 minutes and I was LITERALLY getting ready to drop a log in a baggie (because there was no way it was here) when I noticed something I hadn't before. Are you kidding me?? I had that in my hand probably a dozen times and nothing clicked.

This gets a favorite for an extremely well executed hide and for placing a fun multi when it could've easily been a traditional. Thanks for making the extra effort and creating a memory I didn't expect.

Thanks for the hide tripman1. I appreciate you keeping this cache active for everyone to enjoy.

Strike 2. Looked and cleared grass. Either gone or too well camouflaged for me.
