This is one of the best views around. This is why we had to use it to recognize Woodman. Woodman is one of our local cachers and has some of the best hides, it only seemed fitting to do this for him.

This plateau is named Simpsons Rest after George Simpson, a pioneer that helped settle this area. George is thought to be the first person to discover gold in Colorado. He came to this area in 1848 and was elected the first territorial county clerk in 1861. One of his great desires was to be laid to rest in this location. The monument you see here was placed to recognize George Simpson's grave site.

Be aware of Rattlesnakes

This is a wonderful place to take a hike. If you park at the bottom and hike up it is well over one mile to the summit. You can most certainly drive up but please do not attempt this road if it is wet. The gate gets locked at sunset so please plan on having your vehicle down before that.

Wow what a view! Looks like this hasn't been found in a while. Lots of places it could be.

Been a long time since we were up here. We actually filmed an intro to a BMX video up here ages ago. Managed to catch the flag emerging from some dense fog. Much sunnier this time. Tons of hikers along the drive up and plenty of wind. Spent awhile taking pics and exploring. Thanks for bringing us back here.

Searches for quite a while and no find. Did find a cute cross wired to a tree. The views alone are worth coming for this one!!! Amazing!!!
