Out with Farm Girl and Olive making a big loop around Colorado. We went through Gunnison, Montrose, Silverton, Durango, and then spending the night in Pagosa Springs. I needed this one for a challenge I'm working on. I should have walked the road down the hill but I parked just up from the coordinates and we followed a horse trail to the bottom, and then we had to make our way over the rocks to make the quick find. Cache is in GREAT shape. Stamped the log and were off to the next one.[8d][8d] SL TFTC TNLN

I've been out here several times before but never had this cache loaded into GPS. Now that I figured out how to use the iPhone app without a cell signal I can find the way outback caches a lot easier.
Even though, it still took a bit of searching to find this one though.
Hint: It's near gray granite rocks. ;-)

The trail was a bit wet on the mc before getting to the quarry. Very cool historical place .

We approached this cache from McCabe Lane (CR 32), which is much easier and more direct than the suggested route. However, we had a hard time with this one. We initially drove to the west side of the creek, and even though we were right on target, the creek crossing through the willows and beaver ponds is just about impossible. So we went to the "parking spot". The GPS signal bounces around quite a bit amongst the rocks near the parking spot. BTW, roads and railroad grades are NOT a "trail". The instructions from the parking spot are not clear. We spent quite a while up top on a wild goose chase. We finally followed the ROAD down to the creek bottom, and found the cache. SL TFTC

Awesome canyon! Took the long way there...but well worth it. Took the classic Broncos key ring and left a ball. Wanted to stop by the Pioneer but will have to wait till May 20th.

Something new for us, checked the map before hand and drove close to cache, usually we head off overland the hard way. Spent time wondering around the Quary reading info sign. thanks for the fun time.

We (Dizzy 4x4 and PATS4X4) are trying to combine our finds and change our name to AZ4X4s since we are now retired and caching together. If you wonder why you are getting this notice of a find from several years ago, that's the reason. Thanks to all the CO's for the great hides we have found over the years
