I have been a couch potato for to long. Feel like a slug and decided to do a hike.  Boy what a hike. Nice view of the canyon and town. BYOP

I found this nice cache while taking a short tour through this part of Colorado. Unfortunately, my timing was off as many areas that contained caches I wanted to find were not yet open to the public after closing for the winter months. I'll have to make a return visit to this area in the future. Fortunately, I was able to come after this one and selected it over other caches because it looked fun, had a nice D/T rating, and helped meet a challenge requirement. After 3 consecutive DNFs on the Shrine multi-cache, and Mtn Goats 1 and 2, I had actually decided to forego the caches here and move on. However, as this cache was somewhat along the way to my vehicle, I decided to give it a try. Fortunately, I made the find pretty easy with no drama. My GPS took me right to the container, so I'm not sure why that did not happen with the previous three caches. Regardless, I was VERY happy to make the find and decided to press on as originally planned. The cache container and contents are still in great shape. I appreciate the CO making the nice placement with great site selection, TFTC.

The traverse from Mt. Goat #2 to this spot was challenging. Talus and scree are one thing, but to add small aspen obstacles is another. Man was it nice to get these caches out of the way. Only redeeming points about the hike, you get to claim tough caches and the views are really nice down valley. Onward..
