Enjoy a stroll through this beautiful park as you search for this cache. There is plenty of shade on a hot day, along with many benches to stop and have a rest. The view of Fishers Peak is breathtaking from this location!

Here you will find a bronze statue of Kit Carson that was made in 1913, Christopher Carson is recognized for being one of the legendary frountiersman of the west, he was a trapper, an agent to the Native Americans, and a guide for civillian and military alike. He is accredited with guiding the first expedition to map and discribe the trails leading west to the Pacific Ocean. He was a man of small stature with unmatched courage. It was said that he spoke sofetly, but his word was as sure as the sun rising. At one point in his life, he was the cheif hunter for Bents Old Fort located just north east of here. Bents Old Fort was one of the major lifelines near the Sante Fe Trail , it housed the military and was a busy hub for travelers and furtraders.

The Tinidad area is rich in history from the frountier days, the famous Bat Masterson, Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday and Jesse James had all spent time here. Their stories run deep in this community and are worth looking into.

The cache is a little larger than a nano you will have to look for something that is out of place, we had a great time building and placing this cache, please enjoy.
