Dogs  May require wading  Medium hike (1km-10km)

Out with my Bro-in-Law in the newly-established Beaver Brook Watershed park and found this relaxing spot near the creek.

Looking for a camo-ed tuppaware container. It should be any easy find - the hike is the most difficult. The terrain is not but the distance may be. It wasn't too bad for these old bones.

It's hidden off of the path about 20 ft. and on the other side of the stream (no wading required). But once you're there, you may want to cool off before you head back.

Took a hike up the canyon this afternoon to check on Ed's Thinkin spot and all is well. Someone took the pen and I didn't have a replacement, so you'll need to bring your own.

Made it Ed's Thinkin' Spot - a nice little pool in the stream that the dogs enjoyed very much. Log in good shape and it took about 10 minutes to find (was distracted somewhat by the dogs). Thanks!

After working on the 5 caches on the Beaver Brook Rd. I figured I had time to make the hike & CLIMB down & back up to this one before dark (which falls far too early now!). I have been looking at this one for a couple of years ever since I started riding in this open space. I knew it would not work riding my horse because I would have to leave him too long to make the long journey into the canyon. I parked at & came in from Pat Creek TH and hiked the road as I read other's logs. I decided not to wait to make the descent at the end of the road so I found a drainage that looked pretty good-at the top. The further down I went the steeper it got, but finally I got down to the creek. Still .4 mile to the cache which converts to closer to 3/4 mile, but the creek trail is fun. Finally got to GZ and finding the cache took some time, but I finally found it in a place I put off looking to check some other spots 1st. Now I know what Ed was thinking-How the heck am I going to get out of here?! Looks like lots of folks come hiking down in here, but no idea how they get here. I followed other's recommendations and hiked back up the creek at least a mile before trying a spot that looked less steep on my GPS. It took me as long to climb up as it took to climb down, find the cache and hike back to my climb out spot. Wow! Definitely much harder than a 2.5 terrain!
I actually think access is easier from the south side where I rode down a few weeks ago with my horse to find Fun Beaver Facts, but much longer hike along the creek. (see that log)
All in all I will be glad to finally see that smiley face on the map.

I can confirm that everything Spenny said was truthful and accurate! This was the best adventure to find a cache that i have experienced yet! Gets a favorite from me!

Came out with the goal to find this cache today. Mission accomplished. Nickygeo and I hiked down from the squaw pass parking area. Did a little bit of bushwhacking down the steeps to the creek but nothing too crazy. Once we made it across the creek the hike was quite pleasant, we followed th obvious trail all the way the the cache site. Nick saw this one from across the creek and i made the grab. Everything Inside the cache was soaked(pic to come). Between the two of us we had a new log and bag so we rinsed the cache out. CITO'd the old junk and refilled it with some nice swag. We made a 5.5 mile hike and hid a cache along the way. Thanks for the cache!
